FREE WILLY the KILLER WHALE
  Year 1992

I was the supervising machinist over looking all aspects of the machine shop.

More tail peaces.

Here are more parts of the tail .

More tail parts.

Here I'm working on the Frame.

Boring out the hole for an insert.

It was a very late night. Walter was hoping everything would work out, and it did !!

Scott and I working on pressing new inserts in.

Mark the welder is welding everything up. This is the Frame of the Whale.

I'm working on the fins. You can SEE some of the parts I have made so far.

We had a testing water tank inside the building.

Here it is with most of the electronics wiring on the frame.

The Whale was Computer controlled.

Now you can SEE everything coming together.

I made most of the Hydraulic manifolds you see. Everything was custom designed.

Now you can SEE the Tail

Steve is working on the core. You can see the frame work inside for testing.

Steve is washing down the mold and buffing it. The outside of the whale.

Dry fitting the frame with the fins.

The core is DONE. Time to go inside the mold.

They are ready to pour the Rubber in to the Mold.

 SWEET

Mixing the rubber.

I had to put a whole machine shop in a tracker trailer and document everything for the ride to Mexico.

Wow, they had to crane everything in Mexico, there are NO paved roads at the filming site.

The whale had to be out of the SUN.

SineJaw

Please READ and LOOK below

I was a partners with my father at his machine shop and outside Sales.
My father invented a Tool for the Machine Shop Industry called ( Sinejaw ).
The tool was used for machining angles in a Vise or inspecting parts. We made everything in house.
I would go to the Industrial Machine Conventions and Sell  SINEJAW and do very well.
Super Tight Tolerance.
This was just before CNC took over the machining Industry.
